Hask Argan Oil

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past year, you will have noticed that Moroccan Oil, Argan Oil and other such oils have been taking over the beauty community in blogs and on YouTube.

Argan Oil is a plant oil produced from the kernels of the argan treeendemic to Morocco, that is valued for its nutritive, cosmetic and numerous medicinal properties. Cosmetically it is mainly used on the hair wet or dry to leave your hair with a shiny look, leaving it feeling healthy and super soft. It achieves this by absorbing into the hair and using all of its natural goodness to restore your hairs health and help it to be reeeeeeeeally shiny.

Argan oil can also be used on the skin to prevent dryness and help reduce stretch marks, it works in a similar way to the popular and well known Bio-Oil.

I have been after Argan Oil for a long time now but being as forgetful as I am whenever I am on a beauty hunt the oil just goes to the back of my mind. On a random pre-holiday shopping trip to Primark I was queuing up to pay when I saw the Hask Argan Oil by the till for £2.50! (Miss Budget Beauty eat your heart out =D) I had to snap a couple of these up right away and I was eager to get home to wash my hair and it's not often I can say that!

The Oil claims to be a healing shine treatment for a silky smooth finish with exotic shine, and this my friends it does down to a tee. I use a pea size amount rubbed in my palms on wet hair and then blow dry as normal. I also use it occasionally after styling my hair to rid of any flyaway bits. The great thing I have found is that I am not washing my hair any more than I was before which is always a plus in my eyes.

As I used to put a lot of bleach on my hair, it is not in the best condition. Since using the oil I have noticed a massive difference and I will definitely repurchase one this has ran out or I may try a different one, I wouldn't mind getting a big bottle of it so it is there to last for ages.

I think Argan Oil is a must have beauty essential and I honestly don't know how I ever got by without it! At the amazing price of £2.50, you have no excuse to try it!

Do you use hair oil? If so which one? Have you tried the Hask oil? What are your thoughts?

Enjoy Your Day

Boots Cocoa Butter & Mallow Body Lotion

As the colder weather is creeping upon us, my skin is getting more dry and I need to make an extra effort to keep my skin more hydrated.

When it comes to my beauty regime I am generally quite lazy and I have only just got to grips with cleansing properly and keeping my face moisturised. I do however, often forget about the rest of my body. I have noticed my skin getting more dry. I reluctantly went on a search for a nice scented body lotion/moisturiser as I am not a fan of unscented products because I like that subtle hint of a scent when going about my daily business.

I found the Cocoa Butter and Mallow body lotion in my local Boots and I fell in love with it straight away. At the moment you can pick it up from their website here for the small price of £2.03 for a 300ml bottle. That's the sort of money you find lying around the house!

The lotion has a very thin consistency which makes it so easy to rub into the skin after your shower. It leaves a gorgeous cocoa-y, sweet scent on the skin which you can smell up to about 2-3 hours after application which, for something so cheap is rather impressive!

The product claims to nourish and care for dry skin, leaving it soft, smooth an moisturised which i can agree with 100%. The bottle has a handy pump dispenser which makes it easy to dispense the product from the bottle and handy to leave in your bathroom or on your dressing table.

Generally I find the Boots own brand products good quality and the Cocoa Butter & Mallow body lotion does not disappoint and has not changed my opinion one bit!

What is your favourite body lotion/body moisturiser? Do you have a specific body skin care routine? Let me know in the comments below =D

Collection Fix Me Up Spray

As a woman I am, like many, always wanting long lasting make-up. Especially with working in a job where I can't easily touch up my make-up every couple of hours I need it to stay put for at least 8 hours.

Using the right make-up to start with is always a bonus and I find the Revlon ColorStay range a god send. I do find it can sometimes look a little cakey, especially first thing in the morning. This is why at the moment I am loving the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation.

As I am always watching the pennies, like most of recent times, I am reluctant to use my MAC Fix+ spray as I don't want it to run out. This is why I have been on the look out for a cheaper dupe for it.

When I received the Collection Fix Me Up spray in my SheSaid beauty box I was thrilled as I could start my mission on finding a good Fix+ dupe.

I have been using it over the top of my Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation, which I have found doesn't have a long lasting wear. Over the past 7 days I have been using the Fix Me Up spray and I feel I am now ready to share my views to my lovely readers.

First of all the price is fantastic! If you hop over to the Superdrug website here it is a bargain at £3.99!!!

I love the packaging as it is black with the hot pink writing which I feel is simple but eye catching at the same time. The first thing you are hit with when you spray it on your face is the smell. To be honest it is one that I am not particularly fond of. It reminds me of cold tea, but not the good smell which you find in the Ginvera products, it is definitely off putting.

Also I find the product really wet which doesn't feel too nice on the skin and I found I have been standing around for a couple of minutes waiting for it to set. As for the longevity of the product, I found my make up hasn't been lasting any longer than before and overall I am quite disappointed as I am a HUUUUGE fan of the Collection primer!

Have you tried this product out? What are your thoughts? Just let me know in the comments below =D (like what I did there?!)

Enjoy your day!

MAC Jest Eyeshadow

For a long time I was searching for the perfect eyeshadow which could be my staple go to everyday eyeshadow within my make-up collection.

During a shopping trip I was trying to avoid going to my local MAC counter as usually, whenever I visit it, that is the start to my financial downfall for that month. No matter how much I tried to avoid it, I heard it calling my name and I could not resist any longer.
Although my MAC wishlist is longer than I would like, when I visited the counter there was nothing that came to mind that I had to buy there and then. So I had a look around and when I stopped at the eyeshadow one caught my eye which I just had to have... Jest.

As my MAC palette was rather bare I could easily justify purchasing it. When I got it home I  fell in love with it even more. It is the most gorgeous shimmery barely pink colour that just compliments the skin so well. It is such a perfect neutral colour and the shimmer is totally me.

As you can see from the above swatch, it is not an obvious pink colour, like I said just a gorgeous pale pink shimmery neutral for your collection.

I have used this practically every day since I got it and you can do so many looks with it. I love adding dark browns in the corner to create a gorgeous everyday smokey eye look. The eyeshadow is so versatile and can easily be worn for the daytime or night time and being from MAC is so long lasting.

What is your favourite MAC eyeshadow? Will you be trying this one out? What is your go to colour? Let me know =D

Enjoy your day

Miss Sporty Fabulous Lash Waterproof Mascara

When it comes to mascara I have TONS of them. I think this is due to my everlasting desire for luscious lengthy, voluminous, thick lashes.

I don't have one particular brand in my make-up stash as I see a mascara I like I buy it. This has, in the past set me up for a lot of disappointments but occasionally I will find a little gem in which I just HAVE to repurchase. This brings me nicely on to the Miss Sporty Fabulous Lash mascara.

I picked up the waterproof version as my intention was to take it on holiday and wear in the day and in the pool without getting hideous black make up rolling down my cheek. You all know what I mean, like when you take your make-up off after you have been in the shower and look in the mirror and you have eyeliner/mascara literally covering your whole face!

I tried this out a few times before holiday, just to test out the true waterproof-ness of it and I was very surprised at the results. So surprised, this has now become my everyday mascara.

The brush first of all is brilliant, it goes into a point at the end which makes coating the lashes in the inner corner of the eye even easier and also coating the bottom lashes is easy and you don't get those awful lines under your eye.

This mascara does have a tendency to build up quite a lot on the lashes and can occasionally give the spidery lash look. 9 times out of 10 though it creates the illusion that you have really lengthy and thick lashes its an absolute winner in my eyes.

The price is also a winning factor for me at a bargainous £3.29!!!!

You can get it from Miss SportyBoots (who may I add are selling it at the moment for £1.99) or Superdrug (who are also selling it at the moment for £1.99).

This is definitely a mascara I will be repurchasing as it not only makes the lashes look gorgeous, the price tag is bloody marvellous too!!!

Below is a picture of the mascara on at the END of the day!!! Still in tact ... WINNER.

What mascaras would you recommend for me to try? Any you would like me to review? Just let me know =D

Enjoy your day

And She Flies In From No Where!

Hola all!

No your eyes do not deceive you, I am back to the blogging world. I have been trying to keep up with all of the fab blogs I am personally a reader of but I have had a crazy few months.

Those of you who subscribe to my YouTube channel will know I have moved in with my boyfriend and I have also been on holiday so times have been a little crazy of late.
Within all the madness however, I seem to have found a routine that works for me so I now have an empty slot in my diary ready for as much blog action as I can cram in.

You may see some changes on the blog over the next couple of weeks as I feel this is a new chapter and like after a break up ... A makeover always makes you feel better!
I have some rather exciting products all lined up ready to tell you about and give you my thoughts, so keep those beady eyes peeled and I shall be back soon =D

I thought I would also add that I am writing this with my own conditioning concoction on my hair so I shall also let you know how that goes.

Enjoy your day!

Hi Everyone!

In case you haven't noticed, I have not been blogging recently.

Do not fear, I haven't abandoned you, no. At the moment I have so much stuff on so I have decided to put some focus on my YouTube channel. If you haven't seen my videos yet you can find my channel simply by clicking here =D!

The reason I am putting a little more focus in to my videos at the moment is because I find videos easier to do and I want to spend my time writing blogs that I would want to read, not just whipping them out in a minute, hense me taking a step back whilst I have so much stuff going on.

All shall be revealed as to what exactly is going on hopefully very soon!

I hope you are all well and do be sure to check out my channel to keep up with what I am doing.

Miss Sporty Nail Expert Manicure

Being someone who has had acrylic and gel nail extensions since I was old enough to know exactly what they are, my nails are now extremely brittle and break literally ALL the time! I have decided it is now time for me to care for my natural nails a little more .

When in Superdrug a couple of weeks ago I picked up some Miss Sporty polishes, both for £2.99. They are from the Nail Expert Manicure range. The one on the left is the 'For Short Nails' base coat and the one on the right is the 'For Glossy Nails' base and top coat.

I have used both of these together since I bought them and I am now ready to give my honest opinion on both.

 'For Short Nails' base coat.

It claims to help a 'strong and fast growth' on the bottle. The colour of the base coat is a milky colour and even if you left this on the nails on it's own it would look very natural but leave them stronger. For the price I have been extremely pleased with the product and in the last 2 weeks, not one of my nails has chipped, which for me, is a miracle!

The brush is exactly the same as most polishes and is not one of the fat ones which some have these days, which makes for an easy, quick application. All it takes is one coat for the polish to work so it lasts for a long time!

'For Glossy Nails' base and top coat.

This polish claims to be a 'Silk base and top coat', I am not entirely sure how much truth I find in this statement. Now I don't like to write a negative review but unfortunately in this instance I wasn't so pleased. Whatever polish I have used, it has only lasted on average a day until it starts chipping.

As a top coat I am highly un-impressed as, like I said, It chips very easily and lifts any other polish off with it. I must admit I haven't used it as a base coat as I have been using the polish above which I am pleased about.

Again the brush is a thin one which makes the polish easy to apply and the finish is very glossy which I was very happy with. Despite this I think I may have to put this into retirement and search for another top coat with a little bit more staying power.

For £2.99 I think the base coat for short nails is well worth the money and in fact I am going to stock up just in case I never come across it again (highly unlikely yet this is how I can justify it to myself). However the generic base and top coat I would say is not worth the £2.99 and you would be better off with a clear polish.

See you soon!

NOTD Pink Ombré Nails

One of the current trends that you can't ignore at the moment is ombré ... Well anything! All over YouTube you will find various tutorials on how to get ombré nails, eyeshadow, lips and even hair!

If you don't know what the ombré trend is all about, it is basically having gradient colour on your nails, eyes, lips, hair etc. So like me when painting your nails you go from dark to light or vice versa.

I thought I would get involved and give it a try on my nails. As you know I love the colour pink, therefore when trying to think of what colour to try this out with ... Pink was the obvious choice!

I was amazed at just how many pink polishes I have, the 5 I used didn't even touch the surface!

Ombré nails are so easy to do but look so effective! I urge you all to go and raid your polish collection and get involved. It is probably the most easy way of being on trend!

Here are the colours I used:

1: 17 Supreme Shine (Miami)
2: MUA (Shade 16)
3: La Femme Beauty (No name/number on bottle)
4: Elanor Nail Enamel (Shade 406)
5: Claire's Accessories (No name/number on bottle)

As you can see from the list of colours, none of the polishes cost me more than £4 but I have created a real eye catching look. It just goes to show, it's not about how much something costs, it's about how you make it look!

I hope you have a fab day!

ELF Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder

For those of you who have not heard of the cosmetic brand ELF, they sell high quality make up products at STUPIDLY low prices. There is the normal range where products average around £1.50 and the Studio range where products cost around £3.50 ( like I said ... STUPIDLY low prices). ELF stands for Eyes, Lips, Face and the brand sell anything from lipsticks to blushes, eye shadow to mineral make up and also brushes. Everything you can think of for your Eyes, Lips and Face =D!

Following my 'Mini Haul video' I decided I would share my views on the Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder.

There are 4 shades to choose from...
Sun Kissed
Warm Tan
Luminance
Matte Bronze

It is no secret that I am possibly THE palest shade of pale you can get, therefore I opted for Luminance, the lightest shade.

Being very light I thought it would be a very good subtle bronzer to use all over in the summer. When I opened the bronzer I noticed the colour was very pale and it is VERY shimmery.

I swatched some on my hand and as I couldn't see any colour only the shimmer I decided to use it as a highlighter and it worked amazingly!

The bronzing powder has a silky texture and glides on to the skin with no fuss. It is easy to blend and leaves the skin perfectly highlighted and looking sun kissed.

I wouldn't say the Luminance works as a bronzing powder as such but I will definitely be purchasing the other 3 colours, at only £1.50 each they are a steal and well worth adding to your make up kit. You can purchase them here.

Luminance is a perfect highlighter for the summer time, especially when creating that bronzed warm look and is ideal to take on holiday.

All we need now is the british weather to pick up!

See you soon!

Ginvera BB Cream

*Image Ref: shesaidbeauty.com*

As always I rushed home from work as I knew my She Said beauty box had arrived!! (I do intend on doing a post about these, I always open them too quickly though).

I found my usual 5 goodies and one of those was the Ginvera Green Tea BB Cream. I was eager to try this as I have tried a few BB Creams and they have all been rather disappointing.

Yesterday I decided to give it a go, I was quite dubious as to how the cream would look on me as it claims to be suitable for all skin colours and as I am ridiculously pale, anything which claims to be suitable for all colours of skin tend to look rather orange on me.

I applied the product as directed and I was pleasantly surprised with the finish and look when on the skin. My skin looked a lovely natural olive colour, which wasn't too light, or too dark for my skin tone.

Another thing which I found lovely about the BB cream was the smell! It smells A-mazing! This comes from the green tea element and it helps to make you feel refreshed, vitalised and you really do feel like you are being kind to your skin. The cream creates a flawless airbrushed look and when buffed into the skin it looks completely natural.

The Ginveva BB Cream retails at £20 from the Janiro shop here or you can visit your local Harvey Nichols and purchase it there. Although £20 is slightly pricey for the majority of the BB creams out there but you definitely get your moneys worth.

This is a fantastic product, not only for BB cream lovers but for everyone. It works as well as any foundation but gives a more natural finish. A highly recommended product in which I personally have the full size on order.

In other news ... I shall be trying out my vlogging skills and potentially uploading a video on some other products I am loving at the moment.

I hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday weekend!

Butter London Nail Polish

I was first introduced to these polishes whilst watching a video on Fleur De Force's YouTube channel (you can find it here =D ). These Butter polishes make a regular appearance in the blogging and twitter world so when I was in Harvey Nichols in Manchester, I just HAD to buy one for myself.

The colour selection they had wasn't great, they had a few of the normal polishes and a few of the Jelly ones. To be honest at first glance I wasn't thrilled with the colour collection, that was, until, I saw the colour TROUT POUT. I instantly fell in love with the colour as it is EXACTLY what I have been looking for for months ... bonus!

The colour is a gorgeous coral colour which verges more on the pink side as opposed to orange, which I personally much prefer.

What I love about the packaging is the square top simply lifts of and underneath you find a simple round top with the brush attached. I love this design as the square lid gives the polish a clean and simple look while the round top helps you control the brush for an even finish.

Talking of finish ... I have found I only need one coat of polish as the colour is so intense. It dries super quick and has a glossy finish to it also. I would usually begrudge spending £12 on a nail polish but it was worth every penny in this case.

If you have the money to spend on a Butter London polish I would say go out NOW and buy one from Harvey Nichols if you have one near you, if not, do not fear you can just click here to go straight to the Harvey Nics website and do some shopping from the comfort of your sofa!

Enjoy Your Day

MAC Pink Venus Eyeshadow

MAC eyeshadows, to me, are the god of all eyeshadows. I love the texture and the way they blend so easily with each other. In my make up collection I only have a few MAC eyeshadows and this one is the latest addition.

I have been wondering which one to get as my next purchase for a while now, I have Brule and Black Tide in my palette and a few odd colours here and there. As a spur of the moment purchase I bought my go to eyeshadow which is Pink Venus and, well, it is just gorgeous!

The eyeshadow is a gorgeous pink colour with silver sparkles running throughout. Unfortunately the eyeshadow would not photograph well so I couldn't get a good enough swatch for you.

Like I said before, I love how the MAC eyeshadows blend and go on, also I love how pigmented they are. A little really does go a long way! This is definitely my go to eyeshadow now as it is a perfect spring daytime colour and the sparkles give it that little something extra.

As always, a winner yet again from MAC and would recommend this to any pink lover out there! You can buy this from the MAC website or from any MAC counter for £10.50 ... bargain!

Enjoy your Day

My Current Faves As Seen On The Beauty Butterfly

Towards the start of March I wrote a guest post for Jade who writes the fabulous blog titled 'The Beauty Butterfly' which you can find here. As some of you may not follow Jade's blog (if you don't, then why not?!) I have decided to post it here as well to share my current favourite products with you guys,  my lovely fairy followers!

First of all is my Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturiser. This Moisturiser is fab. It is very lightweigh, oil free and it prevents spots and blemishes. I picked this up from my local Superdrug for under £2 and would recommend it to everyone. If you have problem skin you can build up the moisturiser overnight to help get rid of the blemishes, or like me you can use it just to help prevent getting any.

Next is my ELF Golden Bronzer. This is from their Studio bronzer range and there is 3 to choose from. There is Warm Bronzer, Cool Bronzer and this Golden Bronzer. I use this as a highlighter as I find it far too light (even for my ridiculously pale skin) to use as a bronzer.

It has the 4 different colours which you can use individually to do some contouring or you can use them all together to highlight your cheeks and even your brow bone. It comes with a handy mirror in the lid, perfect for on the go make up! I love using this on my cheeks and also a little on my forehead when I am doing make up which is a little heavy on the bronzer just to soften it and give it that sun kissed look.
I have tried many highlighters and for the price you pay I find this brilliant for an everyday glowy highlighter which you can replace easily by not breaking the bank at just £3.50. This product will last you months and ELF usually have some form of discount or free shipping on their website so it works out cheaper!

I have only recently discovered that you can order from the MUA website which is just A-mazing to me as my local Superdrug does not stock MUA and I have to go into my nearest city and to be honest I very rarely go there at the moment. Whilst I was doing my massive MUA order I thought I would give the Waterproof Eyeliner a go. I always opt for waterproof eyeliner as my eyes are quite prone to running for no apparent reason so I tend to play safe with the waterproof.

When I tried this out for the first time I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The brush is actually plastic and is so easy to control. The line it creates is quite thin which I prefer as I can always go over it to create a thicker line. With the brush you can get really close to your lash line for a more clean look

The finish is quite glossy and sharp, if I want a softer look I just put a small about of black or dark grey eyeshadow over the top to make it more matte and soften it out. The only downfall of this liner, I would say that, for me, it doesn’t work well under the eye or in my water line, other than that it is perfect! The best thing about this liner is that is costs £1, you just can’t get an eyeliner like this for the same price.

To set my make up I go to the good old faithful MAC Fix+ spray which I just find a god send. I have tried the Urban Decay make up setting spray and found it didn’t come close to this one from MAC. One thing I love about MAC is the packaging is so simple and clean cut. What I like about the packaging on the Fix+ spray is you just twist the cap and press the top to release the spray, it couldn’t be easier.

Fix+ costs £12.50 and it is worth every penny. It really does do what it says on the tin and fixes your make up so it lasts for hours! This is definitely one of those staple items you need in your make up collection no matter how big or how small. I could not live without my Fix+, especially when I am going on a night out and I need that little bit more longevity in my make up. The product feels very wet when you first spray it onto your face but it dries within seconds. One thing I would advise is to wait for your mascara to completely dry if you are using it at the end of doing your make up, I tend to squint quite badly when spraying it onto my face so I have to avoid having mascara all under my eyes.

I hope you have all enjoyed reading and maybe you will try out some of the products I have talked about. Let me know what you think by posting a comment in the box below.

Enjoy your day
